[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t is no longer news that the romance between the Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, and the former chairman of Park Management System (PMS), Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, aka Auxiliary has gone sour.

Recall Freelanews reports how board of PMS was dissolved few hours after the inauguration of the governor’s second term in office, the sacking of Auxiliary’s property by the men of the Nigerian police and arrest of his latter’s lieutenants.

As at the time of filing this report, our correspondent confirmed that the whereabout of Auxiliary is currently unknown as many believed he must have gone underground.

However, fresh facts are now emerging on the main reason the Oyo State governor severed relationship with Auxiliary.

An Ibadan based lady detailed what actually transpired and led to the disagreement between the governor and the park manager on her TikTok handle MissyChinBerry (@ChinBerryStudio).

The lady, who spoke mainly in Yoruba language, accused the governor of being a betrayer and a terrible human being.

According to her, the governor was afraid that Auxiliary may unleash terror on his administration since the latter refused to accept the new working conditions he has given him.

However, unverified source claimed that  before the election, Makinde had hinted all the stakeholders that he is going to reconcile the two rival groups (NURTW led by Ejiogbe and Auxiliary’s group).

Recall that the NURTW under the leadership of Ejiogbe was the one in control before Governor Makinde took over in 2019. It was after he was sworn-in that he banned NURTW and came up with idea of Park Management Committee. He then made Auxiliary the leader, denying others (Ejiogbes) of all entitlements for good four years.

Makinde wanted to make peace, and he had made this known to the concerned parties before election; he had said that he would reshuffle the committee to accommodate the aggrieved members after the election.

Auxiliary was angry to see Ejiogbe group during the inauguration of the governor at the stadium and his boys allegedly attacked the Ejiogbe group on their way from the inauguration venue.

“This probably angered the governor who order immediate dissolution of the Park management committee. A source close to the governor who pleaded anonymity explained that the announcement prompted Auxiliary to move straight to the governor’s house and asked that he wanted to see the governor, but security details denied him access on the premise that he didn’t have official appointment with the governor,” the source claimed.
