LASUSTECH’s admission registration 2025 is now open for UTME and DE applicants with clear eligibility rules and state origin verification requirements

LASUSTECH’s admission registration 2025 has officially commenced, offering a critical opportunity for prospective undergraduates seeking placement in the Lagos State University of Science and Technology.

With the announcement of the 2025/2026 academic session admission process, LASUSTECH continues to reinforce its academic standards and merit-driven procedures.

The university, situated in Ikorodu, has opened its portal to both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) applicants.

According to the institution’s latest release, only candidates who selected LASUSTECH as their First Choice in the 2025 UTME are eligible to apply.

These applicants must have scored at least 195 and possess credit passes in the relevant O’Level subjects, attained in not more than two sittings.

For Direct Entry hopefuls, the process demands obtaining a JAMB-issued DE form while ensuring LASUSTECH is listed as their First Choice.

Additionally, these candidates are required to complete the university’s screening application online to be considered for admission.

In a move aimed at prioritising indigene inclusion, the institution has reaffirmed the Lagos State Origin Verification process.

All applicants claiming Lagos origin must undergo verification with the appropriate state authority before proceeding with their application.

This provision ensures fairness and upholds the university’s commitment to equity in educational access.

“As a university owned by Lagos State, we must ensure that candidates who genuinely hail from the state are identified early in the process,” a LASUSTECH official stated.

“Our goal is to maintain transparency while giving every qualified applicant a fair shot.”

The university’s registration launch has been received with excitement, as LASUSTECH remains one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing tertiary institutions, celebrated for its emphasis on science, technology, and applied learning.

Applicants are urged to adhere strictly to all outlined requirements and to complete their registration processes within the timelines that will soon be made public.

Those who fail to meet the stated conditions will not be considered, regardless of their scores or academic performance.

Furthermore, the university encourages candidates to regularly check its official website and other authorised platforms for updates on screening dates, deadlines, and procedural guidelines.

This proactive approach helps reduce misinformation and enhances smooth processing.

LASUSTECH has built a strong reputation for discipline, technological innovation, and excellence in training future leaders in science and engineering.

Its transparent and merit-based admission process reflects this commitment.

The ongoing LASUSTECH admission registration 2025 reflects a broader vision of academic integrity and social inclusion, particularly by affirming indigeneship verification.

As aspirants work to fulfil these admission conditions, the university’s stance ensures only the best-qualified candidates secure places, while also prioritising equitable access for Lagos residents.

Quote: “Our goal is to maintain transparency while giving every qualified applicant a fair shot,” a LASUSTECH official stated.
