The long-term future of Victor Osimhen has been a major topic of discussion over the last couple of months and the latest news emerging is that he is willing to sign a pre-contract with Chelsea.

Chelsea are looking to bolster their attacking options and have identified Osimhen as a prime target ahead of the likes of Ivan Toney and Viktor Gyokeres.

While the Premier League giants are unlikely to make any significant swoop for Osimhen during the January transfer window, they are looking to lay the groundwork for a summer move for the Nigerian.

The West Londoners are looking to make as much progress as they can concerning signing Osimhen because they expect to face competition for his services.

Chelsea will most likely have to fork out the £112 million release clause attached to Osimhen’s latest contract which the 25-year-old signed weeks ago to secure his immediate future at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
