The deputy editor of the leading brands and marketing magazine in Nigeria, Brand Communicator, Jeremiah Agada, has emerged the PR Journalist of the Year and Best Story On Youth Empowerment & Development at the prestigious LaPRIGA Awards and Nestle Media Awards respectively.

This is yet another testament that the multi-award winning young journalist has comfortably carved a niche for himself in the media space of the country as he was also declared as the Best Brand Journalist of the Year in 2021 by the apex body of advertisers, Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria, ADVAN.

In a post made on his official social media handle, Agada, who was full of praise to God, was very appreciative for the platforms given to him to excel.

“Last year, the apex body of advertisers in Nigeria, Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria adjudged me to be the best brand journalist in the country.

“Yesterday at the prestigious LaPRIGA Awards, I emerged the PR Journalist of the year. I had barely recovered from the euphoria of that when today, I was called out as one of the winners at the Nestle Media Awards in the Best Story On Youth Empowerment & Development category.

“It has been an eventful year for me, full with a lot of ups and downs. In all, I celebrate the wins, appreciate the lessons and look forward to better days ahead.

“I return all glory to God, I thank my family…and by family I mean kith and kin, colleagues turn siblings and friends that blur the line fine lines of brotherhood.

“Special shouts out to my beautiful wife Esther Esther , my boss et friend et brother Joshua Oluwatimileyin Ajayi , my editor Ntia Usukuma and to my numerous mentors in the industry. Let’s do more!” he wrote.

After finishing his secondary school from Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive College, Ota in Ogun State, Agada proceeded to University of Nigeria, Nsukka for his BSc in Mass Communication and Media Studies.

While as an undergraduate, Agada headed the editorial body that published the Record Newspaper for the year 2012. He was responsible for all writers and editors under him as the Editor-In-Chief of the paper.

He was the editorial researcher at Marketing Edge magazine in 2011, where he carried out editorial researches, wrote articles and brand stories, in addition to covering events.

His professional journey after finishing his mandatory national service in 2015 included Vanguard Newspaper as the political and campus correspondent in the same year and finally at Brand Communicator, where he has rose through the ranks over years.

Agada’s entry level into the leading brands, marketing and communications magazine was as a researcher and writer before he was promoted to senior researcher, then correspondent and deputy editor, a post he currently occupies.

“I am committed and dedicated to achieving set personal and organisational goals, self motivated and I work well under pressure. Cool headed and a quintessential example of a Mr. Nice Guy,” he once wrote about himself.

Agada is a happily married man to Esther Agada, a business woman.
