LinkedIn Adobe content verification

LinkedIn and Adobe are joining forces, using Adobe’s tech to give creators a “Verified on LinkedIn” badge, helping them prove ownership and build trust online

This collaboration combines LinkedIn’s free identity verification tools with Adobe’s ongoing efforts to authenticate digital content, providing creators with a simpler way to assert ownership of their work and enhance their credibility across various online platforms.

Oscar Rodriguez, LinkedIn’s vice president of trust, explained that this partnership will empower users to extend their LinkedIn verification across the internet, thereby boosting their trustworthiness wherever their content is displayed.

The new system builds upon LinkedIn’s existing verification for identity, employment, and education, offering Adobe creators an extra layer of security by allowing them to attach verified credentials directly to their images and digital creations.

Once a LinkedIn user with verification adds their credentials through Adobe’s content authenticity app, a clear “Verified on LinkedIn” badge will be associated with their content.

Furthermore, if this content is shared on LinkedIn, the platform will automatically display these content details, providing viewers with assurance about its origin.

Adobe’s content authenticity app, which recently moved into public beta testing, enables creators to embed secure credentials into their photos and designs.

This initiative is a key part of the company’s broader Content Authenticity Initiative, which aims to increase transparency and trust in digital media.

The wider movement dedicated to safeguarding digital media is gaining momentum, with various platforms, major tech companies, and media organisations uniting through the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA).

This non-profit effort is focused on developing methods to track and verify the origin of digital content in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
