An Senior Secondary School 3 student of Will B Secondary School, Miracle Innocent, has emerged the overall winner of an Online Essay Competition, organised by Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa.
Recall that the competition started on September 10, 2021.
According to the organisers and information made available to Freelanews, after the close of submission on Friday, September 25, 2021, 72 entries were submitted.
“At the close of submission of entries on Friday 25th September, 2021, we have 225 students that participated.
“72 students successfully submitted their entry,” the statement read.
Presentation of prize award, medals and certificates of participation to the top three winners were done physically at the Erits Apartment and Suites, Ikeja in the presence of their parents.
“The club have posted the top 20 selected essays on her website along details of the participants (picture inclusive). All candidates will get an e-certificate of participation.
“Presentation of prize award, medals and certificate to the top three winners and RYLA Sponsorship to all the top 10 entries was done physically on Friday 8th October, 2021 (10 students and their teacher, guardian and parent were present).
The top 10 students at the Friday prize presentation included 16yr old Miracle Innocent of Will ‘B’ excellence secondary School; Bello Saidat Oladunni of Girls Seniors High School, Agege; Fanimo Boluwatife of Girls Senior High School Agege; Adegboyega Abisola Faith of Fakunle Comprehensive High School and Okafor Chinaza of Jakande Estate Comprehensive Senior College, Abesan.
Others were Agboola Christiana of Jakande Estate Comprehensive Senior College; Gabriel Olisa of Kings College Lagos; Ariyo Muslimot Olayinka of Girls Senior High School, Agege; Rabiu Mary of Girls Senior High School and Aliu Kaosara Olamide of Girls Senior High School, Agege.
According to the winner of the competition, the Rotary Club of Alausa-Ikeja, District 9110, has made a difference in her life.
“I take immense pleasure to appreciate Rotarians for the privilege given to participate in this year’s essay competition. My joy knew no bounds when I emerged the first position. Thank you Rotary Club for making a difference. Prize received with thanks,” she said.
The essay competition is one of the many projects laid out to be achieved in October 2021 by the international club.
