MFM donates chapel to King’s College Lagos as Dr Olukoya urges students to embrace mastery, diligence, and divine purpose for future greatness
The newly built one-storey chapel, donated by the MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry, Lagos Region 15 (Victoria Island), was formally dedicated on Thursday.

The dedication ceremony was presided over by the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide, Dr Daniel Olukoya, who addressed students, staff, and senior clergy gathered at the event.
Olukoya used the moment not only to bless the new building but to challenge the students to pursue greatness through personal mastery and divine alignment. “God does not need VIPs to promote you,” he said. “He can use someone unknown, someone small, to change your life.”
He shared a personal account of divine intervention from his days as a student, when a food messenger unexpectedly led him to the official in charge of the Commonwealth Scholarship — a scholarship he received despite applying two months late. “That’s how God works when you’re aligned with purpose,” he said.
Speaking further, Dr Olukoya highlighted three pillars of success: mastery, excellence, and problem-solving. “If you want to be great, be a master of your subject. Do what you do with excellence — people will find you. And know this — every human being is a solution to a problem. Discover that problem, and people will come looking for you,” he told the students.
The event was attended by Pastor Clement Imoru, head of the MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry, alongside King’s College senior staff including the Principal, Vice Principal, and faculty members, who expressed gratitude for the chapel donation.
This isn’t the first time the ministry has supported educational institutions.
The MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry has previously built chapels and learning facilities for the University of Lagos Staff School, Methodist Boys High School, and Queen’s College — all part of its broad CSR agenda.
