Mirabel Ogun rape investigation: TikTok star released from police custody to state ministry as authorities continue probe into her allegations
Abigeal Nsikak, popularly known as Mirabel, has been released from police custody and handed over to the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development as investigations into her rape allegation continue.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday issued by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi.
Mirabel reportedly reported to the police station and was taken to a medical facility for examination as part of the verification process.
“She was received and taken to a medical facility for necessary examination to verify her claims. She has continued to cooperate with investigators as due process progresses,” the statement said.
In a welfare-based decision, the complainant has now been released into the custody of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
“The Ministry has undertaken responsibility for her care and has assured the Command that she will be made available whenever required as investigations continue,” the police added.
The Ogun Police Command emphasised that the case is being handled with professionalism and sensitivity, and urged the public to refrain from speculation while the investigation is ongoing.
