He disclosed that she privately advised him not to engage in sexual relations with her daughter before marriage.
“I was lucky I interacted with your mum,” he said. “Morayo had the most fantastic mum in the world. Your mum called me privately and pleaded, ‘Do not have sex with her until we get married.’ She said, ‘I’m not trying to protect her, but I’m just trying to honour God.’”
Femi Afolabi-Brown explained that adhering to that request laid a solid spiritual foundation for their marriage.
He stressed that obedience to faith-based principles strengthened their bond from the outset.
“There are certain demands God will place on you if you obey His rules. By His grace, we got married on January 19, 2011, and welcomed our first child exactly a year later, on January 18, 2012,” he added.
