His wife, Stella Marris Okafor, took to Instagram to share a touching video of herself and their children, accompanied by a short but emotional message honouring her late husband.

“One year you were laid to rest. We miss you so much. Continue to rest in peace, Amen,” she wrote.

Mr Ibu, one of Nollywood’s most iconic comedic figures, passed away on 2 March 2024 following a prolonged battle with health complications.

One year without him feels like a lifetime. His laughter, his love, and his presence are deeply missed.

His death sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry, sparking tributes from fans, colleagues, and political figures.

Stella’s remembrance post has since attracted an outpouring of condolences and support from her followers.

Many praised her strength and encouraged her to stay resilient as she continues to cope with the loss.
