Tunde Badejo, on Monday, stabbed his father, Badejo Idowu to death over a claim to land belonging to the family in Masaka, Karu local government area of Nasarawa state.

It was gathered that Tunde had over a year been pestering his father, Badejo, for a portion of land.

The deceased’s wife, Madam Tolani Badejo said her husband, Badejo had asked Tunde, his son to be patient and give him time to apportion the land fairly among other members of the family.

According to her, “He had been on my husband’s neck for the land since last year. So during their last argument on Monday, he pulled out a knife and stabbed his father several times on the head, neck, chest, hands and legs which killed him. I raised alarm and he fled.”

Ayomide Badejo, the second son of the deceased, explained that the case had been reported to the police, saying that the father’s remains had been deposited in a mortuary.
