[dropcap]M[/dropcap]edia personality Nedu has addressed speculation surrounding his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast, stating that he was not fired but stepped down voluntarily due to personal attacks.

The controversy arose following an episode featuring reality TV star Deeone, who made allegations against social media critic VeryDarkMan.
The episode sparked intense backlash, leading to speculations about Nedu’s exit from the show.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, Nedu explained that he left to protect himself from escalating personal attacks.
He stressed that his role on the podcast was to facilitate tough conversations, but the growing hostility had made it difficult to continue.
“Let me clarify that I wasn’t fired from The Honest Bunch Podcast,” Nedu stated. “I decided to step away when the attacks became personal, so that the show can go on.”
Despite his departure, Nedu expressed no regrets about hosting the controversial episode.

He previously stated that he does not regret bringing Deeone onto the podcast and remains committed to open discussions in the media space.
