Some Nigerians have started demanding for the re-arrest of a social media activist, Chude Nnamdi, over an allegation he made against the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola.
Recall that in April this year, Nnamdi was arrested and arraigned for cyberstalking, a charge brought against him by a business mogul, Emeka Offor.

He was eventually granted bail in the sum of N10 million and also ordered to produce one surety, who must be a level 14 civil servant or a resident of the FCT with verified landed property, as part of the bail conditions.
In a new tweet, Nnamdi accused the CJN of being notoriously corrupt and his ability to dispense his duties would be influence ethnicity.
He, who seemed to be referencing the presidential election tribunal at the court, claimed that there is need to worry on the outcome of the petition by the former Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, against emergence of President Bola Tinubu.
“Aside from the CJN being notorious for corruption, the Likehood of biased judgement by ethnic sentiment is enough reason to squash the idea of having a President whose shaky mandate is being debated in court and a CJN, from the same region.
“A source of worry,” he wrote.
Although, Nnamdi had deleted the tweet, but several Nigerians have reacted calling for his head.
PAPA WEMBA (@lexyy4real): This is recklessness and I urge the NJC to invite Chude to come and substantiate his claims… This allegation is weighty and shouldn’t be swept under the carpet…

Ayekooto (@DeeOneAyekooto): If we allow criminals to write nonsense on social media and get away after pseudo apologies, we will end up encouraging hooligans like Chude to be more irresponsible.
