The Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide has debunked the claim that one Abayomi Adelabi was a member of the Pastor In Council, MPIC.
Recall that there was a viral report where Abayomi and four other members of his kidnapping syndicate were arrested while the fifth managed to escape. It was alleged that the accused is a member of CCC Comforter Cathedral, Egba Province O Headquarters, Iberekodo, Abeokuta in Ogun State with a title of Venerable Most Senior Evangelist and also a MPIC.
In a report made available to Freelanews and signed by the head of media, CCC Worldwide, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, Adelabu was neither a member of the Pastor In Council of CCC Worldwide as his name is not on the list of the newly inaugurated council.
“The council was just inaugurated on February 17, 2021, with a four year tenure which would end in 2025. The name Adelabi Abayomi is not on our members’ list and we wish to reiterate that here that he is not a member of the exalted council,” he wrote.
Ajala also went on to disclose that his membership of the church is also in doubt and appropriate action is being taken to verify if the accused attends Celestial Church of Christ.
“A request has been sent to the appropriate Working Committee of the Council to investigate the claim of Adelabi’s membership of the Celestial Church of Christ, and report back to the secretariat of Pastor-In-Council within seven days,” he disclosed.
