The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Jerry Victor, said in a statement that the arrests followed separate operations in Lafia and Doma local government areas.
Victor said one of the suspects, 27-year-old Muktar Shuaibu of Kwandere village in Lafia Local Government Area, was arrested in connection with a kidnapping-related attack in Bassa village, Doma LGA.
He said Shuaibu and an accomplice identified as Ogobon, who remains at large, allegedly attacked an elderly Fulani man while attempting to steal his motorcycle.
The victim was rescued by passers-by, leading to Shuaibu’s arrest. He was later handed over to Operation Whirl Stroke of the Nigerian Army for further investigation and action.
In a related case, the command arrested Haruna Jibrin, 43, of Ungwan Liman in Lafia, on 2 January 2026, over the alleged robbery and theft of tin ore minerals valued at more than ₦3.5 million.
Victor said Jibrin is cooperating with investigators and has provided information that could lead to the arrest of other members of the gang who are currently on the run.
The command also apprehended Dahiru Hussaini for allegedly stealing two mobile phones and other valuables belonging to his friend, Abdusamat Hussaini, in Kauran Moyi, Lafia Local Government Area.
Victor said all the suspects would be charged before a court of competent jurisdiction.
He added that the state commandant, Brah Umoru, had reiterated the corps’ commitment to ridding Nasarawa State of criminal elements and warned that anyone involved in crime would face the full force of the law.
Umoru also appealed to members of the public to support the corps with timely and credible information to strengthen security across the state.
