Popular Nigerian singers Adekunle Gold and Simi have celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary, sharing emotional tributes on social media that attracted praise from fans and fellow celebrities.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday, Adekunle Gold described his wife Simi as his best friend, reflecting on their journey since marrying in 2019.
“Seven years ago, I married my best friend. And somehow, every year since then has been gentler than the last,” he wrote, noting that their marriage has been nurtured through laughter, growth, faith and a conscious choice to keep supporting each other.
“We’ve laughed hard, grown deeply, prayed sincerely, and chosen each other again and again,” Adekunle Gold added. He described loving Simi as the “easiest, most beautiful decision” of his life.
Reacting in the comments, Simi wrote simply: “I love you.”
Simi also shared her own post, expressing gratitude for their bond and reaffirming her love.
“My baby. Seven years… You’re still the one,” she wrote, recalling how friends once questioned her choice while they were dating. “We just fit. We still fit,” she added.
She praised her husband for his attentiveness and support, saying he makes her feel seen without conflict. “You see me. You’re mindful of me. You love me.
You know I’m not a gentlelady. I’m a fighter, but thank you for not letting me have to fight to be seen and loved,” she wrote.
Simi thanked Adekunle Gold for being a dependable partner, concluding her post with love and prayers for the future of their marriage. “I love you. Husband of my youth. Ká pé fún wa lọ́rùkọ Jesu,” she said.
