NYSC DG urges corps members to uphold core values

NYSC DG Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu urges Corps Members to embrace patriotism, integrity, and commitment during their 2025 service year

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has called on Corps Members to uphold the core values of the scheme throughout their service year and beyond. The call was made on Tuesday while addressing the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Corps Members undergoing the Orientation Course in Rivers State.

Brigadier General Nafiu urged the Corps Members to demonstrate patriotism, integrity, efficiency, transparency, and commitment in all their actions.

He commended their willingness to serve the nation and encouraged them to make meaningful contributions to national development both during and after their service year.

The NYSC Rivers State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, also presented the camp situation report, noting that the 2,586 Corps Members in attendance had displayed high levels of discipline, patriotism, and dedication.

Nafiu’s address reinforces the NYSC’s ongoing mission to instill strong virtues and a sense of national duty in Nigerian youth, preparing them to positively impact society upon completion of their service year.
