The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a stern warning to corps members, advising them not to participate in the upcoming nationwide protest, #EndBadGovernance, scheduled from August 1 to 10.
This demonstration, aimed at addressing issues of inflation and governance, has stirred considerable debate among Nigerians, particularly the youth.
Yetunde Baderinwa, NYSC Lagos Coordinator, emphasized the need for corps members to focus on promoting national unity.
The NYSC’s policy strictly prohibits participation in protests, and Baderinwa reiterated that corps members who violate this rule will face serious disciplinary actions as per NYSC regulations.
The NYSC statement highlighted the organization’s mission to foster national cohesion and reminded corps members that engaging in protests, whether physically or online, contradicts the core objectives of their service.
