On Monday, April 24, 2023, the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, returned into the country after a well deserved rest in France.

As usual, many Nigerians have been anxious and waiting patiently for his return, especially when most loyalists of a presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, that came third position during the last February 25 election alleged a foul play in his absence.

Recall that Tinubu trashed Obi by polling a total of 8,794,726 votes against 6,101,533 scored by the latter.

However, many Obidients, an appellation used for Obi’s supporters, believed that the president-elect can’t grant interviews because he has a Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) inserted into him, through which intravenous fluids, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, and other drugs are taken.

A PICC is a thin, flexible tube that is inserted into a vein in the upper arm and guided (threaded) into a large vein above the right side of the heart called the superior vena cava.

This, they claimed, gives credence to the conspiracy theory that Tinubu is critically ill.

Twitter reactions

@PIDOMNIGERIA: Pipe dey inside this agama lizard throat. PICC line. Imbe can not talk 😂😂😂

@Sports_Doctor2: (What Does Tinubu Have Under His Arm On His Return To Nigeria?). It’s called a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) Line. What’s it used for? Should we be worried? I will explain. #OdogwuTakes.

@Take a closer look at Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s arm, you’ll see a PICC line there. This man is sick, he’s supposed to be resting, and receiving treatments. May affliction not rise again in Nigeria

Whatever it is, it is obvious that Nigerians are glad to have their president-elect back in the country as they look forward to a better administration under him with optimism. See reactions below.

@seyidugaf: Welcome my President-Elect. God bless you sir.

@Mvnaaa___: Welcome back, Mr President Elect. ♥️

@whyfash: Welcome back… may God continue to strengthen and uphold you. May God’s favour continue to surround you as a shield in Jesus name. Instead of shame, God shall give you double honour and everlasting joy shall be yours. He whom God has blessed no man can curse in Jesus name.

@seyfunmi: Baba oyoyo, daddy when you weren’t around, your kid bro Mr. Naanu was deported from UK because he unknowingly made a mistake 🤣 😉 😜 😆 😂 😳 🤣 😉, won je ki o she ajinde Jesu ni UK. This is my report Daddy. Ekabo sir.

@procycleW2W: Welcome back Sir! Ayanmo o gbo’gun. Ori le le jo….. Awuye Wuye! Awuye Wuye!
