In order to boost Nigeria’s representation at the AFCON 2023, the football legend, Dr. Olusegun Odegbami, has sought the collaboration of the former governor of Ogun State and senator representing the Ogun East District, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, when former visited the latter’s Sagamu residence.

Odegbami, on a strategic mission for comprehensive AFCON 2023 coverage, sought Daniel’s collaboration to take Nigerians on an unprecedented ‘voyage’ through the championship.

Expressing a bold prediction that Nigeria will emerge victorious, the respected football legend disregarded public negative opinion and plans an adventurous project to document the championship.

During their meeting, Otunba Daniel extended a warm welcome, opened the doors of friendship, and pledged unwavering support, offering a blank cheque for Odegbami’s ambitious venture.

With excitement building up as the countdown to AFCON 2023 commences, Odegbami hints at unveiling more details about his project soon.

He revealed that the next destination on his journey is Oshogbo, as the football icon continues to forge alliances that promise a unique and unprecedented coverage of the upcoming tournament.

He wrote, “When Politics and Sports collaborate!

“AFCON 2023 is around the corner.

“As part of my strategic consultation to enable a comprehensive documentation of the championship, I went to Sagamu, to the beautiful home of the former Governor of Ogun State, current Senator, the Arole of Remoland, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

“I needed his collaboration in an attempt to take Nigerians on a ‘voyage’ to a place where they have never being before through a unique coverage of AFCON 2023 that I believe, rather recklessly and against the tide of general public opinion, that Nigeria will win,

“He met me there, welcomed me warmly with both hands, threw open the vaults of his friendship, and offered me a blank cheque of support for my adventurous project which I will make public soon.

“My excitement is building up as the countdown to the start of AFCON 2023 begins.

“Next stop today – Oshogbo!!!”
