The legacy of Olanrewaju Fasasi lives on as Sound Sultan Eternal presents the inaugural Sound Sultan Memorial Symposium in honour of the legendary artist. This special event marks the second anniversary of Sound Sultan’s passing and will take place on July 12, 2023, at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria.
Themed ‘Fractured Bonds: Path to Reconciliation and Healing Post-2023 Elections,’ the Symposium aims to address the critical issues surrounding unity and reconciliation in Nigeria after the 2023 elections, using dialogue. The keynote address will be delivered by the erudite and renowned Reverend Sam Adeyemi, and the accomplished panel will comprise Chioma Chukwuka, Ayo Animashaun, ‘Yemi Adamolekun, Okechukwu Onyegbule (Okey Bakassi), and Hon. Desmond Elliot. The session will be moderated by the seasoned OAP and thespian, Steve Onu (Yaw).

The hybrid event, designed to accommodate virtual attendees, will be held at Eko Hotels & Suites on July 12, 2023, at noon and will be the first in a series to honour the legacy of Sound Sultan, whose patriotism and pro-Nigerianess were evident in his art (music, theatre, and movies) during his lifetime.
The symposium is part of the activities organized by the Sound Sultan Estate, managed by Nigeria’s premier talent management agency, Now Muzik, to celebrate the 2nd-year memorial of the music icon, who passed away on July 11, 2021. Other activities include Firdau prayers in his honour, and the release of a brand new post-houmous single, Money Race, featuring Spyro.
