[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the last election, Peter Obi, had recently admonished his supporters nicknamed Obidients over their unruly attitudes.

Obi specifically frowned at his followers’ penchant for insulting anyone seen to have done or said anything against his interests.

“The use of subterfuge by people masquerading as Obidients to abuse and insult eminent personalities like Most Reverend Pastor Enoch Adeboye or anyone else is most unacceptable. Obidients are by and large, law-abiding citizens,” the former Anambra governor wrote in part.

However, many Nigerians were disgusted by his use of the words ‘subterfuge’ and ‘masquerading’. They were of the opinion that Obi lacked the boldness to directly call out his supporters as many of those he claimed to be masquerading as Obidients are actually people he had openly dined with and spoken well about in the recent past.

“Peter Obi, please take a testosterone shot and be a man for once. The people who insulted Pastor Adeboye are not “masquerading as Obidients”, as you claim. They are known and prominent Obidients.

“One of them is someone you and I have discussed, and you know that person. Others are too popular as Obidients. They have been photographed with you. They have solicited funds for you. Name them and shame them,” a popular author and activist, Reno Omokri, responded to Obi.

Another writer, Legendary J.O.E, was more comical in his own response by calling on Obidients to insult their principal for castigating their actions.

“Dear Obidients, Subterfuge means deceit (cos I know you all are linguistically challenged) Aside the fact that the Dastard Peter clearly denies his staunchest supporters such as DJ Switch etc by distancing himself from their lunacy, he then falsely describe you all as law-abiding, I’m sure you all won’t accept this, cos your trademark is vawulence as shown in your brazen attack on the Chief Justice and other noble personalities like the Only Nigerian Nobel Laureate Prof WS, the occupier of the revered royal stool of the Great Yoruba Cradle Ooni of Ife and very recently his holiness, the General Overseer of Africa’s largest church denomination, the Octogenarian Pastor Enoch Adeboye amongst others…

“As done to others who had dared to invite you away from the realm of rabid manifestation to Sane arena, 1…2…3…Oya Drag Peter Obi for abandoning the script and attempting pretense at being sane,” Legendary J.O.E wrote.

However, a lady, whose name is simply SweetJem (@JemilaEA) is trending on Twitter as Olosho for reprimanding Obi over his tweet.

“You are an irresponsible man. A basic man. You cannot even take responsibility for your despicable supporters, the same way you couldn’t call the IPOB terrorists what they are. Insha’Allah, you will never lead this country. I reject you. We reject you. Shame on you!” she wrote.

Her comment opened her up to many unsavoury attacks, which led to the word Olosho, which is a derogatory word to describe a prostitute, trending on the micro-blogging space.

SweetJem was called out on her timeline, while many directly sent messages to inbox.

Nnamchi Henry wrote:

You are shameless,
If shame is a name
Nah Ur surname be that ….
You are one of the reason we want to retrieve our mandate so that Peter Obi go provide job for you.

The lady also shared another Obidient, @NnadiArinze2, in her DM asking her to leave Peter Obi alone, with a caption: What’s the obsession with olosho and all its variants as insult (attempted) from this Obidiots camp? 🤔
