Olota of Ota, alongside Ooni of Ife, graces Senate President Akpabio’s induction as an Honorary Fellow of Nigerian Estate Surveyors & Valuers
[dropcap]H[/dropcap]is Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), the Olota of Ota, joined His Imperial Majesty, Oba Babatunde Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, and other esteemed dignitaries at the induction of the President of the Nigerian Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, as an Honorary Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.

The prestigious event, held on Friday, 21st February 2025, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, was part of the 31st John Wood Ekpenyong Memorial Lecture, themed “Repositioning Tenement Rate Administration for Economic Growth and Development.”
In his welcome address, the President of the Council, ESV Victor Adekunle Alonge, expressed appreciation for the presence of distinguished guests and congratulated the new inductees.
He highlighted the significance of upholding fairness and justice within the profession while commending individuals who have contributed to the institution’s progress.
The event was attended by several eminent personalities, including:
– The Governor of Lagos State, represented by Barr. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin (Secretary to the State Government)
– Father of the Day: Alhaji Dr. Umaru Mutallab
