Ondo 2024: Top governorship contender, Funmi Ayinke, pays courtesy visit to APC exco

One of the leading aspirants for the next gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Engr. Funmi Ayinke Waheed-Adekojo, continues to record massive support as she met with APC National, Ondo Executives in Akure, Friday, January 26.

While addressing the party’s leadership, Engr. Adekojo condoled with them on the demise of Governor Akeredolu, who passed away on 27 Dec, 2023.

Adekojo asked the Ondo Exco to lend her the necessary support in her bid to become the next Governor of Ondo State, promising that wholesome development will be her focus: “I am here today to inform you that I am interested in becoming the next Governor of our dear Sunshine State. I will be Governor for all with the welfare of all Ondo State indigenes as my top priority. Both human and infrastructural development will be greatly experienced in Ondo State if you entrust me with your mandate” she stressed.

The APC Party Chairman, who was represented by the party Vice chairman, Hon Atili Agabra, welcomed the governorship hopeful and her supporters and assured her of the party’s support, noting that the party is for every one of its members.

Hon. Agabra wished Engr. Adekojo well in her political journey and congratulated her on the opening of her campaign office.

The party exco revealed that there will be no constituency zoning at the Primaries, giving each aspirant a fair ground to contest.

The event attracted most of the political gladiators in Ondo State and beyond, including, State Woman Leader, Mrs Lijoka, PRO: Alex Kalejaye, Barrister Akin, Engr Titus among others.

Funmi Ayinke – Waheed Adekojo is the CEO of Funmi Ayinke Engineering Company, a business mogul and famed philanthropist.

INEC has pegged Saturday, 16 November, 2024, for the Ondo elections.
