He made this appeal during a courtesy visit to the King and council of chiefs of Ekpeye Kingdom in Ahoada East, River State. This visit comes ahead of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, which runs from September 26 to October 1, 2024.
Kumuyi recalled the #EndBadGovernance protests by Nigerian youths in August. He acknowledged their courage and vision, emphasising their demand for good governance.
He advised patience and understanding towards the government during this challenging period. “When searching for solutions, we often overlook what is above us,” he noted.
He expressed optimism for the upcoming crusade, themed “The Wonders of Change”. Kumuyi believes this event will bring incredible transformations to families and the nation.
He invited the Ekpeye monarch, Eze Kelvin Anugwo, and his cabinet to join in this significant occasion.
In response, Eze Anugwo assured Kumuyi of his people’s support for the crusade. He promised that the Ekpeye ethnic nation would actively participate, expressing enthusiasm for the event’s success. He also mentioned plans to provide donations and support for the attendees.
