Peter Obi Presidential Screening concludes successfully as the former Anambra governor clears screening and receives nomination form in Abuja
Former Anambra State Governor and Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, has been cleared by the party’s presidential screening committee after undergoing a comprehensive verification process in Abuja.
Peter Obi disclosed that the screening exercise, held on Tuesday, lasted more than two and a half hours and involved a detailed review of his personal and academic credentials.
According to the former governor, the committee examined his degree certificates, National Youth Service Corps credentials and age declaration documents.
The presidential aspirant said he also responded to questions on his vision for Nigeria and the leadership approach required to address the country’s current challenges.
Following the exercise, Peter Obi confirmed that he was formally cleared by the committee and received the presidential nomination form for which he had previously completed payment.

The screening committee was chaired by former Ebonyi State Governor, Sam Egwu. Peter Obi praised the panel for what he described as a thorough and professional assessment process.
He also commended the leadership of the Labour Party for maintaining what he called a credible democratic process during the screening exercise.
The clearance marks a significant step in Peter Obi’s bid to secure his party’s presidential ticket ahead of the next general election, as aspirants continue consultations and preparations within their respective political parties.

Reaffirming his campaign message, Peter Obi expressed confidence in the possibility of national renewal, stating that a new Nigeria remains achievable through purposeful and accountable leadership.
