Slated for Friday, 10 October 2025, the one-day festival will take place at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, bringing together the country’s leading creators, policymakers, and brands in a landmark cultural gathering.
With the theme “A Festival of Stories”, PodFest Naija aims to celebrate the power of storytelling to shape culture, drive innovation, and inspire collaboration across creative sectors.
Positioned as an annual event, it is designed to be a dynamic convergence of voices and ideas, spotlighting Nigeria’s growing podcasting ecosystem and creating a platform for learning, discovery, and community building.
Supported by major sponsors including Coca-Cola, Sterling Bank, The Place, Crown Flour Mills, SunTrust Bank, UAC Foods, Bet9ja, Beloxxi, Post Assurance, and Sunflower Hospitality, the PodFest Naija storytelling festival has already gained substantial backing from both private sector players and media partners.
These include News Central, Megalectrics, The Cable, Brand Communicator, Nairametrics, OloriSupergal, Dashboard Innovations, Cueball Communications, Aster Media, and DLC Media.
The festival will be opened by The Honourable Minister of Art, Culture & Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, who is expected to deliver a keynote address.
The event will feature a carefully curated lineup of influential speakers and cultural figures such as Obi Asika, Chude Jideonwo, Seun Okinbaloye, Tunde Onakoya, Adaora Mbelu, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, Rufai Oseni, and many more.
Attendees can expect a rich blend of engaging conversations, live podcast recordings, workshops, masterclasses, and cultural showcases—all tailored to explore how storytelling can serve as a catalyst for societal progress and innovation.
Tosin Adefeko, Curator of PodFest Naija and CEO of AT3 Resources – The Muvmnt Agency, described the event as a movement rather than just a festival.
“PodFest Naija is more than an event – it is a movement to amplify the voices that connect us as a people. By convening creators, policymakers, and brands, we are shaping conversations that will influence culture and the future of storytelling in Nigeria,” she said.
Fisayo Beecroft, Managing Director of Eventful, the official event partner, added: “PodFest Naija reflects how Nigerians engage with and share stories today. It’s a space for discovery, collaboration, and cultural expression – and we’re proud to help bring it to life.”
