The public relations officer of Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, has revealed the new tactics being employed by criminally minded people in kidnapping innocent Nigerians in the state.

While warning unsuspecting Nigerians on what to look out for in order not to fall victims, Officer Edafe narrated an unfortunate story of a man that was kidnapped and made to part with N700,000.

“SECURITY ALERT!!! Let’s be careful out there especially when driving. On 29/7/2023 the kidnapped victim noticed that a tricycle hit car from behind, he came down to check only for the occupants of the keke to forcefully kidnap him with a gun and took him in his own car.

“They made him transfer #700,000 ransom while waiting for more, police patrol on stop and search intercepted them at FUPRE junction. They jumped down from the vehicle in a bid to escape, one of them bearing the firearm was neutralized and the victim who was blindfolded was rescued,” he wrote.
