The reaction follows claims by Momoh that the entertainer abandoned her and their 10 year old son, Mahbub, for eight years.
The allegation had drawn widespread attention on social media earlier in the day.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, Portable stated that he is willing to accept responsibility for the child, but only if paternity is confirmed.
The singer asked Momoh to bring the boy to Abeokuta, where he currently resides, for verification.
Portable insisted that he had played a role at the child’s birth, noting that he conducted the naming ceremony.
However, he stressed that certainty about biological parentage remains essential before taking further responsibility.
“If you are very sure that I am the biological father, bring him to Ogun State,” Portable said, adding that he is open to a DNA test to establish the truth.
The statement reflects a firm and cautious stance amid the growing controversy.
The Portable DNA child claim has quickly become a trending topic, with many observers divided over the public nature of the dispute and the conditions set by the singer.
Some have called for a private resolution, while others emphasise the importance of accountability.
Beyond the heated exchange, the situation carries a human dimension, particularly concerning the welfare of the child at the centre of the dispute.
Portable assured that he would take responsibility for the boy’s education and upkeep if paternity is confirmed.
