PWAN Group Chairman, Dr. Austin Onwumere

Dr. Austin Onwumere, Co-Founder of PWAN Group, has publicly apologised for widespread delays in land allocations, assuring clients that their investments are secure and pledging personal oversight to resolve all outstanding issues within the Nigerian real estate sector

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]WAN land allocation delays have prompted a public address from Dr. Austin Onwumere, Co-Founder and Chairman of PWAN Group, who, in a video statement released on June 2, acknowledged the mounting frustrations expressed by clients.

Dr. Onwumere clarified that these issues extend beyond PWAN, reflecting broader challenges currently affecting the Nigerian real estate sector.

Dr. Onwumere, who co-founded PWAN with his wife three decades ago, firmly refuted any allegations of fraud or unethical practices.

“We have nothing to do with duping anybody or scamming anyone. It is far from who we are,” he stated emphatically. “We are responsible people and committed to solving every client’s issue.”

He explained that the intricate nature of real estate, particularly land acquisition and allocation processes, often involves complex challenges that can inevitably lead to delays.

“Real estate, especially landed property transactions, come with numerous obstacles that sometimes lead to delayed, not denied, allocations,” he stated. “In recent times, some clients have raised concerns about pending allocations. We hear you.”

Offering a heartfelt apology on behalf of the company, he continued, “I am here to say we are sorry. Personally, as a family and as a group, we apologise for the delayed allocations. Since the beginning of this year, we have been working tirelessly each week to recover endangered lands.”

Dr. Onwumere also noted that land acquired by companies for client transactions may sometimes differ in location due to shifting market conditions and regulatory constraints.

“That’s why we provide documentation such as receipts of payment, contracts of sale, and acknowledgment letters,” he assured.

Reassuring clients, he emphasised that all funds entrusted to PWAN remain secure. “Your money is not lost. You will receive your land. It’s only a matter of time,” he pledged confidently.

In a decisive move to address these challenges, PWAN has declared land allocation a “state of emergency.” Dr. Onwumere announced that he will now personally oversee the issue, working closely with a dedicated committee that was formed months ago to expedite resolutions. “I make a fervent promise today—everyone who has paid us will get what they rightfully deserve.”

To streamline communication and ensure swift responses, PWAN has provided direct contact channels specifically for allocation-related concerns:
