QEDNG Summit 2026 will hold in Lagos on August 11, bringing together leaders in Nigeria’s creative and business sectors

The second edition of the QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit, QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit 2026, is scheduled to hold on August 11 in Lagos, with organisers promising deeper conversations around Nigeria’s evolving creative economy.

The summit is convened by Mighty Media Plus Network LTD, publishers of online newspaper QEDNG, and is expected to attract stakeholders from the creative, business and policy sectors.

Speaking ahead of the event, QEDNG publisher Olumide Iyanda said the platform was created to strengthen engagement around creativity, enterprise and influence in Nigeria.

Reflecting on the inaugural edition, Iyanda noted that the summit featured respected industry figures, including SO&U Group Managing Director Udeme Ufot as chairman and founder of The Africa Soft Power Group Nkiru Balonwu as keynote speaker.

Other contributors at the maiden edition included filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, AFRIMA founder Mike Dada and Executive Director of the National Film and Video Censors Board, Shaibu Husseini.

“The first edition showed that there is a strong interest in serious engagement around the creative economy,” Iyanda said.

According to him, the summit is designed not only for discussions but also for practical outcomes capable of strengthening Nigeria’s creative sector.

“This summit is designed as a meeting point for ideas, influence and execution. It is not just about conversations, but about outcomes that strengthen the creative economy,” he added.

Iyanda described the timing of the summit as significant, noting that Nigeria’s creative industry has grown rapidly in global visibility despite structural challenges.

“Nigeria’s creative sector has grown in visibility, but the structures that support it are still evolving,” he stated.
