Regina Daniels drug test follows allegations of substance abuse linked to her dispute with Senator Ned Nwoko, as the actress seeks to clear her name

Nigerian actress Regina Daniels has presented herself for a drug test following months of public allegations of substance abuse made during a high-profile marital dispute with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Daniels disclosed the development in a video shared on her verified Instagram account on Tuesday, showing her inside a medical facility preparing for the screening.

“Hi guys, so I’m here at the hospital, I’m about to run my drug test,” the actress said in the video.

The Regina Daniels drug test comes nearly three months after Senator Nwoko accused his wife of substance abuse while denying her claims of domestic violence and emotional mistreatment.

In October 2025, Daniels had publicly accused Nwoko of abuse, allegations the senator rejected.

Nwoko responded by claiming that Daniels had a history of drug use and said he was in possession of her medical records.

The controversy deepened when Daniels’ co-wife, Laila Charani, also alleged that Daniels had introduced her to drugs, further fuelling speculation and online debate.

An alleged laboratory report from Serenity Royale Hospital later circulated on social media, claiming that Daniels’ system contained toxic levels of marijuana, morphine, opiates, cocaine and alcohol.

Serenity Royale Hospital, however, distanced itself from the document, denying any role in its publication.

“We wish to state clearly that the publication containing classified information of Mrs Nwoko Regina did not emanate from us and respectfully request the public to disregard same,” the hospital said in a statement.

Daniels has not yet disclosed the outcome of the test, but the move appears aimed at publicly addressing the allegations and restoring her reputation amid what has become one of Nigeria’s most closely followed celebrity disputes.
