Rite Foods Limited and its Managing Director, Mr Seleem Adegunwa, received two major honours at the 2026 Marketing Edge Awards in Lagos on Friday, September 25, 2026, with Adegunwa named Outstanding FMCG Brand Entrepreneur of the Year and the company recognised as Outstanding FMCG Corporate Brand of the Year.

The double recognition places the Nigerian food and beverage company among the businesses celebrated for their contribution to branding, innovation and consumer engagement within the country’s fast-moving consumer goods sector.

The awards ceremony, organised by Marketing Edge, brought together business executives, marketing professionals, advertising practitioners and other stakeholders in Nigeria’s brand and communications industry.

For Rite Foods, the honours represent recognition of a business strategy that has increasingly centred on locally manufactured products, product development and changing consumer preferences.

Adegunwa attributed the awards said the recognition reflected the company’s contribution to the development of the FMCG sector through initiatives designed to strengthen brands and to the collective efforts of Rite Foods employees and the company’s sustained emphasis on innovation, quality and value creation.

He said the recognition reflected the company’s contribution to the development of the FMCG sector through initiatives designed to strengthen brands and build meaningful relationships with consumers.

The corporate award was also welcomed by Mr Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods.

Eze described the recognition as an affirmation of the company’s efforts to deliver products that respond to evolving consumer expectations.

He said Rite Foods’ focus extends beyond product quality to areas including research and development, consumer-focused innovation, environmental sustainability, value creation and technology.

“These recognitions reinforce our belief that sustainable brand leadership is built through consistent investment in quality, innovation and the consumer,” Eze said.

“At Rite Foods, we remain committed to creating products that meet evolving consumer needs while delivering value to our stakeholders and contributing positively to the communities in which we operate serving different segments of Nigeria’s consumer market while developing locally produced alternatives across.”

The company’s portfolio has continued to expand, with the recent introduction of LIDA Malt adding to its presence in Nigeria’s beverage market.

Rite Foods’ existing portfolio includes 13 variants of Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, five variants of Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, Rite Spicy Beef Sausage, Bigi Beef Sausage and Bigi Flex Sausage.

The company’s growing portfolio reflects a strategy of serving different segments of Nigeria’s consumer market while developing locally produced alternatives across beverages and food products.

Beyond commercial growth, Rite Foods has also placed emphasis on sustainability and responsible manufacturing.

In 2026, the company received recognition at the National Sustainability Achievements Awards for its work in sustainable manufacturing, product innovation, environmental stewardship and responsible corporate leadership.

Adegunwa’s latest honour also adds to his recent industry recognition.

Vanguard Media Limited named him Industrialist of the Year 2025, acknowledging his leadership and contribution to Nigeria’s FMCG industry.

The Marketing Edge recognition therefore comes against a wider backdrop of industry attention on Rite Foods’ leadership, product development and sustainability efforts.
