In a series of posts on her Instagram story, Meurer declared that it is time for her to control the narrative surrounding her personal life.
She emphasised that she will not “live in bondage” or remain silent in the face of false claims and online trolling.
“You think I will live in bondage and be quiet and die inside? Na love I love, I no kill person, and if circumstances happen that I am no longer comfortable in marriage, I will leave without you fools being the reason behind it,” Meurer wrote.
The actress also addressed persistent rumours, denying that she was ever friends with Tonto Dikeh or her husband’s former personal assistant.
“You think people are fools. All you idiots sit and open your sour mouths commenting on my page day and night about how I stole my friend’s husband or how I was a PA which I wasn’t, and you don’t want me to say my truth? I should live with the lies,” she said.
Meurer further criticised trolls for harassing her online, stating that she has been minding her own business but felt compelled to speak out after repeated falsehoods.
“I’ve been on my own since, minding my business and respecting myself, but all of you evil witches will come out every eke market day to say shit all the time because I chose to be quiet. If I don’t speak up for myself, no one will,” she added.
The posts follow the public reconciliation of Churchill and Dikeh, which included a reunion with their son, King Andre.
