‘Sad’ Popular Fuji musician, unrepentant K1 critic, Ashanti Sholay, is dead (Video)

It is another sad news in the Nigerian entertainment industry, especially for the fans of the Fuji genre, as popular musician and a known Wasiu Ayinde’s critic, Tajudeen Ishola, fondly called Ashanti Sholay, is dead, Freelanews can authoritatively confirm.

He was said to have complained of stomach pains sometime last September, 2020 but all medical tests carried out on him could not ascertain the cause of his illness. He had not been seen online since.

In an interview before his demise, he spoke extensively on why he was Wasiu Ayinde Marshal’s critic. He claimed that contrary to popular belief that he was jealous of K1, it was actually Mayegun of Yorubaland that is always jealous of any Fuji musician pulling crowd.

“Ayinde Wasiu is never a straight person,” Sholay said, “and the reason I will continue to criticise him is because of the fact that he was ungrateful to Sikiru Ayinde Barrister.”

When asked if he had ever seen anything positive about K1, he responded that he had not.

“I swear by my grave, I have never since anything positive about Wasiu. Wasiu is a kind of person that will give you kobo and expects 1million naira in return.

“He once helped and wanted to kill me on top of it. How can I regard as assistance?

“That man is a devil!”

He was said to have died today at a hospital in Paris the French capital.

May his soul rest in peace.
