The renowned Fuji musician expressed deep gratitude after Burna Boy publicly named him his “GOAT singer”, calling it a powerful moment that celebrates the soul and timeless influence of Fuji.

“It uplifts my journey,” Osupa said, “and shines a brilliant light on our rich cultural heritage, bridging generations and genres worldwide.”

He went on to describe the tribute as more than praise: “A heartfelt acknowledgment from a true Afropop titan, the African Giant himself.”

In his message, Osupa thanked both Oluwa Burna and the fans embracing his story.

“Thank you for believing in the magic of Fuji. Thank you for believing in Africa’s ingenious creativity,” he declared.

Looking toward the future, he expressed eagerness to personally attend one of Burna Boy’s concerts to reciprocate the love. “The journey continues, stronger and more radiant than ever,” he added.

The tribute also touched on Osupa’s enduring commitment to his craft and culture.

He sees the endorsement as part of a larger mission: fostering pride in Yoruba music traditions and linking them to the global musical conversation.
