Two Ohio State football players, one hailing from Brooklyn, were arrested for allegedly raping a woman in their Columbus apartment, a report said Tuesday.
Amir I. Riep and Jahsen L. Wint, both 21, allegedly attacked the woman and held her against her will in their home on Feb. 4, according to WSYZ-TV in Columbus.
The suspects tried to force the unnamed victim to give her name on video and admit that the sex was consensual. The woman can be been crying in the video as Riep laughs at her, court documents state.
Wint played football at Erasmus Hall High School in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Both Riep and Wint were charged with rape and kidnapping, according to Franklin County Municipal Court.
Ohio State said in a statement that both players were suspended.
“We are aware that two of our students have been arrested and criminally charged,” a spokesman, Ben Johnson, said in a statement.
“They have been suspended from all activities involving the football program. We will share more information when available.”
