Details emerging from the incident have stirred controversies surrounding the circumstances of Ugwu’s demise. A Facebook user, Senator Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, lamented the loss, stating, “A part of us is Gone! He was shot dead in Kogi state while trying to pay ransom for his kidnapped cousin.”
