Would it be nice to have a great representation for all in our communities? Would the safety of our children and property be paramount in our hearts? Does clearing security concerns and having someone who does the right thing be something that excites us?

Honourable Akorede Adedolapo Mukaram, one of the leading aspirants in the upcoming primaries in All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Chairmanship ticket of the Surulere Local Government, has assured all residents of the area that his stewardship would bring rapid development, much needed social investment and employment.

He said this while discussing his plans, which is broken into Seven Point Agenda, bearing in mind the metropolitan structure of Surulere , with journalists. The vision is tagged “SURULERE RESTORATION! SURULERE FOR ALL!”

“The restoration agenda is to return the old glory and the vision of the founding fathers of our great city Surulere, My 7 point agenda aims to improve our lives and for once, i hope we vote for progress. Restoration is our watchword” Hon. Mukaram said.

The highlights of the plan includes improved synergy amongst all tiers of government to work for the development of Surulere, establish an Elders Council to advise the executive Chairman, kickoff a sustainable Youth Employment Scheme and deploy the Surulere Drainage Corp, a volunteer group dedicated to a cleaner Surulere.

Others include creating the Surulere Sports Development Council and a health insurance programme dedicated to the senior citizens in the community.

“Inview of aforementioned,” Honourable Mukaram said. “I will run an open all-inclusive and transparent government where we have regular town hall meetings, news bulletins and use of social media to convey our activities to the society. I promise an open-door policy which makes everyone accessible to the Chairman’s office.”

He said ” the road to the chairmanship is long, expensive, and exhausting. Becoming a candidate is only the beginning of election process.

As a campaigner, I would like you to know exactly where I stand on the most pressing issues, to know exactly every inch of ground I stand upon — I want you to know for I want you to vote for the right kind of a man

So i am here to ask for your support and Trust in me to represent you the way i have honestly postured before you.”

Surulere needs to repair, ‘Surulere needs to evolve, Surulere needs RESTORATION. This is my vision and together, we can restore” he concludes
