A socialite and popular Lagos-based skincare expert, Fareeda Abdulkabir, who gave marriage a second chance when she married her partner, Prince Ademola Okulaja, a London returnee two months ago, attempted suicide today.
Recall that the talk-of-the-town wedding witnessed the presence of high and mighty in society, including traditional rulers, socialites, business moguls, and players in the Nigerian movie industry.

However, the ill-fated wedding came to an abrupt end with both parties throwing dirt at each other on social media while bloggers were busy having a field day.
Things took a different turn on Thursday, August 17, 2023, when Abdulkabir, visibly distressed and wailing, was seen in a video attempting to jump over the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
Several reports on social media indicated that she was a victim of cyberbullying and, unable to take it anymore, decided to end it all in the Atlantic ocean.
Abdulkabir and Okulaja’s love story was alleged to have started two decades ago when they met in London while the skincare expert was staying abroad.
Their friendship metamorphosed into a love relationship, which was initially an on-and-off relationship until two years ago when they decided to take it seriously and to the next level.

Sparing no cost for a wedding alleged to have consumed roughly N100 million, guests were treated to sumptuous meals and exotic drinks that kept flowing until the end of the ceremony.
Music maestro, the Mayegun of Yoruba land, King Wasiu Ayinde, was on the bandstand while Gbenga Adeyinka anchored the wedding.
Okulaja, the handsome husband, is in his fifties, while Fareeda will turn 50 in September.
The businesswoman was formerly married to Foluke Daramola’s ex-husband, Tunde Sobowale, son of the former commissioner for Education in Lagos State, Professor Idowu Sobowale.
They got married in 2015 and welcomed three children, two girls, and a boy before the marriage crashed.
When their wedding date was announced, naysayers stated that Okulaja was the reason Abdulkabir fell apart with her best friend, Omolara Olukotun, the Chief Executive Officer of Larrit Shoe Village.
However, the skincare expert was quick to set the record straight.
According to her, Okulaja and Olukotun had dated and ended their relationship before she met Olukotun.
