The Soul Candi national recruitment campaign, which began earlier this month, will run until the second week of February 2026 and targets aspiring musicians, producers, DJs, vocalists, songwriters, and music entrepreneurs seeking industry-ready training.
The institute, widely regarded as a powerhouse in creative education, boasts an influential alumni network that includes internationally recognised artists such as Shimza, DJ Zinhle, J’Something, and DWSON, alongside hundreds of graduates actively shaping the music and creative economy.
Soul Candi alumni have gone on to build careers across music production, audio engineering, songwriting, artist management, mixing and mastering, reinforcing the institution’s reputation as a proven launchpad for sustainable creative careers.
A major highlight of this academic cycle is the introduction of Soul Candi’s Live DJ School, a new eight-week programme designed to fast-track aspiring DJs and live performers into the modern performance circuit.
The in-person course, delivered at the institute’s Rosebank campus, equips students with practical skills in mixing, beat matching, and live set performance using Ableton Live, within newly upgraded, fully soundproofed DJ studios that mirror real-world performance environments.
According to Soul Candi Institute of Music and Record Label co-founder Sergio Botelho, the campaign reflects the organisation’s focus on long-term career preparation rather than short-term training.
“At Soul Candi, we don’t just teach music, we prepare students for the realities of the global music industry,” Botelho said, describing the initiative as a decisive step towards widening access to professional music careers.
The campaign combines digital media outreach, campus activations, alumni showcases, and industry engagement to encourage young creatives to transform passion into viable careers.
Prospective students will be introduced to programmes covering music production, DJ performance, vocal training, songwriting, sound engineering, music business, and digital music technologies, all built around a curriculum designed to stay ahead of industry trends.
As part of the recruitment drive, Soul Candi is also offering limited-period registration incentives aimed at improving accessibility for talented individuals from diverse backgrounds.
With technology and streaming rapidly reshaping the global music industry, the institute continues to emphasise both creative excellence and business acumen, positioning graduates to thrive in a competitive and evolving landscape.
