Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has swore in two female Commissioner nominees who were recently inspected and confirmed by the Kwara State House of Assembly.
Harriet Adenike Oshatimehin was inducted in as Commissioner, Ministry of Youth Development, while Florence Olasumbo Oyeyemi was sworn in as Finance Commissioner.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq urged the incoming Commissioners to work as a team and support the administration’s efforts to develop the state for greater success.
“As you are aware, Kwara State is rebuilding, and caution, discipline, teamwork, and sacrifice have been our watchwords,” he said.
He noted that, ” revenue is drying up, yet our administration is confronted with huge challenges of human capital and infrastructural developments and an urgent need to lift as many people as possible out of poverty.

“Every penny is being channeled to tackle this. The administration, has a duty to chart a substantial course for our state. That is why we cannot afford to be flamboyant or wasteful,” he added.
In another department, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has approved the appointment of Abdulganiyu Sani, as the new Accountant-General of the State.
The appointment followed the conclusion of a process that began with an advertorial announcing the vacancy for the office in line with the law.
Sani, a chartered accountant, beat three others in the job placement screenings to clinch the job.
The new appointee is a finance expert with decades of experience spanning public and private sectors. He is as native of Ilorin.
Sani, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Nigeria (ICAN), Nigeria Institute of Management, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, (ANAN), National Institute of Marketing and Institute of Management Consultants.
