In a recent Instagram video, the singer shared an emotional account of disciplining her son Jamal, shedding light on the complexities of motherhood.

Known for her chart-topping songs and powerful voice, Tiwa also takes pride in her role as a mother.

Speaking candidly, she described herself as a very strict mum, explaining that being firm with her child often breaks her own heart.

“Last night, I was reminded of one of the hardest things about being a mom: you still have to discipline your child and be strict, even when it breaks your heart. I’m a very, very strict mother. Everyone knows this,” Tiwa said.

The singer recounted an emotional moment when, after scolding Jamal the previous evening, she fell asleep on the couch.

To her surprise, she woke up to find him sleeping right beside her.

That quiet gesture moved her deeply and reaffirmed the powerful bond between mother and child.

“But last night, I really went off on him.

And this is why he melts my heart so much… I woke up and saw that he had quietly come to sleep next to me.

I had slept on the couch, and he still came to lie beside me, my baby. I was shouting earlier… ahhh. Yet he still

came close, seeking comfort,” she added.

Tiwa Savage parenting style has drawn admiration online, with many praising her honesty and the delicate balance she maintains between discipline and affection.

Being a mother is tough. But it’s also the best feeling in the world.

Her openness resonated with many parents who understand the emotional toll that comes with raising children with love and firmness.

Although she admitted that parenting can be exhausting and emotionally challenging, Tiwa described it as the most rewarding experience of her life.

“Being a mother is tough. But it’s also the best feeling in the world,” she said with a smile.

This rare moment of vulnerability from the Afrobeats queen offered fans a more personal look at her life away from the spotlight.

Tiwa’s story reflects the emotional struggles many parents face daily, especially when choosing between being lenient and doing what is right for a child’s growth.

Over the years, Tiwa has often spoken about her love for her son and how motherhood has shaped her music and life choices.

Despite her fame, she has kept much of her private life guarded, but moments like these allow her fans to connect with her on a deeper level.

The post sparked conversation online, with followers commending her strength and ability to handle motherhood with grace.

Some commented that it was a reminder that even the most successful women still face common challenges at home.

Tiwa Savage parenting style combines firmness with warmth, and her emotional honesty continues to inspire women across the continent.

Her journey reminds us that parenting is never perfect, but love and consistency make all the difference.
