The awards ceremony recognized UBA for its outstanding performance in the financial market and its contribution to liquidity and market knowledge in Nigeria.

The three gold awards that the team secured included Best Money Market Liquidity Provider, Best FX Liquidity Provider and FMDQ Dealing Institution of the Year.

These accolades highlight the bank’s remarkable capital strength, ability to provide liquidity in the Nigerian financial market, and its dedication to customer service.

In a congratulatory message, Elumelu emphasized the significance of these awards and their alignment with the bank’s mission of becoming Africa’s global bank.

The bank’s chairman praised the team’s efforts in the face of challenging economic conditions and acknowledged UBA’s consistent position as Nigeria’s leading financial institution. Elumelu also noted the bank’s impressive financial performance, with a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of N502.01 billion in Q3, strong Shareholders’ Funds of N1.778 trillion, and total assets reaching N16.24 trillion.

These exceptional results not only reflect UBA’s institutional strength but also solidify the bank’s position as a corporate role model in Nigeria and across Africa.

The bank’s remarkable achievements were made possible by the trust of its clients, shareholders, dedicated Board of Directors, and the entire UBA Group team.

Elumelu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to UBA’s esteemed shareholders and customers, acknowledging their unparalleled confidence in the bank’s business.

He also extended his appreciation to the dedicated Board of Directors and the remarkable UBA Group team for their commitment to the shared vision of making UBA Africa’s global bank, while thanking the FMDQ Group for recognizing UBA’s outstanding contributions to the financial industry.

“We are Africa’s global bank, and this is further testament to the success of our mission – our growth this year has been phenomenal! Despite the headwinds, UBA has consistently maintained its position as Nigeria’s leading financial institution,” he wrote in part.
