The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has announced a strategic partnership with Turkish investors operating under the banner of Turquaz Health Tourism, with the ambitious goal of generating one million jobs in Nigeria. This partnership is set to yield collaborations between Turkish investors and Nigerian businesses in various sectors, including health, energy, infrastructure, and education.

The signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) took place at the ACCI headquarters in Abuja, marking the commencement of this collaboration aimed at addressing unemployment in Nigeria. Speaking on the sidelines of the MoU signing ceremony, Sijuade Kayode, Vice President of Commerce at ACCI, shared insights into the partnership’s potential impact.

Kayode highlighted that the investments facilitated by this partnership would play a pivotal role in job creation and economic growth. He specifically pointed out that the infrastructure sector alone could contribute to the creation of approximately 500,000 jobs annually, while the education sector holds the potential to generate one million jobs.

He emphasized that the government’s role in providing an enabling environment through supportive policies and laws is crucial to ensuring the success of these private sector-driven initiatives. Kayode confirmed that the ACCI has already inked MoUs with Turkish investors and will further advance the partnership by visiting Turkey in the coming month to explore additional opportunities and collaborations.

The collaboration between the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Turkish investors reflects a shared commitment to fostering economic growth, job creation, and development in Nigeria. The partnership’s focus on critical sectors aligns with the broader goal of driving sustainable progress and prosperity in the country.
