Pasuma, Malaika, Segun Johnson, T.I Blaze, Ibrahim Chatta and a royal line-up turn Ogun’s Egba heartland into the cultural capital of the weekend
The heartbeat of Ogun State moved to Owode Egba as the town turned itself over to drums, royalty and Fuji for Ifa Festival ’26, a two-day cultural spectacle hosted by the families of High Chief Ayoola Adeyi Olaifa, the Olu Nla / Oluna of Owode Egbaland.
Billed as “a two-day cultural celebration of heritage, music and community,” the festival was scheduled for Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, 2026, with doors opening at 12 noon on both days. Two venues. Two days. One unmissable star-studded gathering.
The opening day was set for Olunla Villa, Balogun Quarters, Owode Egba, with Fuji heavyweight Sulaimon Alao Malaika providing the music. Sharing the bill were Alhaji Saheed Bamidele (Ife Arawe), guest artiste Olariiki and Awise Mass Kenny (Eyinju Oganla). Organisers promised maximum security for the gathering.
The second day moved to All Saint School 1, Owode Egba, and the line-up got heavier. Fuji icon Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Oganla, headlined as a guest artiste alongside crowd favourites Segun Johnson and T.I Blaze. Nollywood star Ibrahim Chatta was listed for a special appearance, while Yemi Olade and Kukoyi Adedoyin held the microphone as MCs.
The day’s ceremonial weight came from the top. Oba Kolawole Arewa Sowemimo (Gbadewolu 1), the Olu of Owode Egbaland, was named Royal Father of the Day, and the programme ran under the distinguished chairmanship of Chief Otunba Michael Oluwole Soretire.
With a monarch on the dais, Fuji stars on stage and Nollywood names in the mix, the festival brought tradition and contemporary entertainment together, drawing families, friends and music lovers from Owode Egba and neighbouring communities.
The organisers’ message was simple: come celebrate culture, tradition and the spirit of Owode Egbaland.
For two days, Ifa Festival ’26 put the community’s identity front and centre, with live music, royal presence and a gathering of the people who make the town what it is.
