Vice President Kashim Shettima returns to Abuja after representing Nigeria at the UN General Assembly and key meetings in Germany
Vice President Kashim Shettima returns to Abuja following his representation of President Bola Tinubu at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York and a series of high-level engagements in Germany.

Shettima’s aircraft landed at the presidential wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja in the early hours of Thursday, where senior government officials welcomed him.
During a week packed with diplomatic activities, the Vice President delivered the President’s national statement at the UNGA, emphasising the need for comprehensive reforms of the global body to reflect today’s geopolitical realities.
He also championed Africa’s sovereignty over its vast mineral wealth, estimated at around $700 billion, and reinforced Nigeria’s international partnerships with organisations such as the United Kingdom and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
