According to Diario Sport, intermediaries recently approached Barcelona regarding a possible move for Osimhen, who is currently on the books of Galatasaray.
However, the Catalan side are understood to have ruled out the Nigerian striker as part of their long-term attacking rebuild.
The decision comes as Barcelona continue their search for a long-term successor to veteran striker Robert Lewandowski, with club officials believed to favour a different profile for their future frontline.
Despite Barcelona’s stance, Victor Osimhen Transfer Rumours continue to dominate the European football landscape, with the Nigerian forward attracting widespread attention following a prolific spell in Turkey.
Galatasaray assistant coach Ismael García Gómez praised Osimhen’s quality, describing him as one of the best forwards in world football and highlighting his physical and tactical attributes.
“We have very top-level players, but in my opinion, Osimhen is among the world’s top three to five strikers,” he said.
The Nigerian striker’s record further strengthens his growing reputation. Since joining Galatasaray initially on loan in 2024 before making the move permanent the following summer, Osimhen has scored 59 goals in 74 appearances across all competitions.
His performances have helped the Turkish champions secure multiple domestic honours, further boosting his profile ahead of what is expected to be a highly competitive summer transfer window.
Interest in the striker remains widespread across Europe, with clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid all reportedly monitoring his situation.
Atlético Madrid are also said to be considering Osimhen as a potential replacement option should Julián Álvarez depart, while Galatasaray are believed to value the striker at around €150 million.
