The Gunners dominated from the start, with Jurrien Timber heading home the opener before Bukayo Saka doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time.
The atmosphere at the Emirates was already electric, but it exploded moments into the second half when Gyokeres scored his first Arsenal goal after bursting past Pascal Struijk and calmly finishing.
Timber, usually celebrated for his defensive strength, surprised fans with a second goal of the night, converting another dangerous Declan Rice corner.
Arsenal’s new attacking depth shone through even as captain Martin Ødegaard and Saka picked up knocks.
The evening also belonged to debutant Max Dowman. At just 15 years and 235 days old, he became the third youngest player in Premier League history.
His fearless run into the Leeds box in stoppage time earned a penalty, which Gyokeres converted to seal a resounding statement victory.
