The grand union of Adaobi and Tuokpe brought the royal quarters of Delta State to life in a colourful spectacle that echoed the timeless strength of heritage.

Held on Saturday, 14 June 2025, the reception took place at the prestigious Monarchy Hall in Warri. The occasion was a magnetic pull for noble guests from all over the nation.

At the helm was the former Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, who chaired the event and received guests with gracious warmth.

Among the dignitaries was the Olota of Otta, His Majesty Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, who graced the gathering as royal father of the day.

There is nothing more powerful than tradition expressed in love.

He offered sincere prayers and guidance to the newlyweds, wishing them a life rich in peace and purpose. In his address, he praised the unity exhibited by both families and admired the seamless fusion of cultures on display.

As the celebration unfolded, homage was paid to the host monarch, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri. The Olota also saluted the distinguished Nwabuoku and Daibo-Emiko royal lineages for orchestrating a culturally vibrant wedding that resonated deeply with guests and kin alike.

Beyond the matrimonial rites, the event highlighted the strength of communal pride and cultural preservation. It was not only a celebration of two lives becoming one but also a salute to traditions that have endured across generations.

The Baamolu of Otta, Chief Raymond Okikiolu Fadayiro, was present, among other esteemed figures, adding to the grandeur that crowned the occasion.
